the cylindrical body finely enamelled with a continuous narrative scene depicting a group of generals and their attendants, some bearing flags and banners in a landscape with mountainous peaks and a lake in the background, all before a crowd of officers, identified only by the tips of their spears, halberds, banners and canopies emerging from behind rockwork in the foreground, the neck enamelled with four shaped cartouches enclosing florets, against a diaper ground, the cylindrical neck with bamboo and rockwork, with a cloud-scroll border to the wide mouth rim: 46.3cm., 18 1/4 in.
