A Chinese porcelain  'robin's-egg'-glazed bottle vase, tian qiu ping,  Qianlong, 1736-1795. Photo Marchant 

with rounded body and tall cylindrical slightly flared neck, covered overall in a bright, even flecked light and dark blue glaze extending to the base and inner rim. 13 5⁄8 inches, 34.7 cm high. Estimate on request

Formerly in a Japanese private collection.

A similar vase from the collection of S.C. Hu with an incised six-character sealmark of Qianlong is illustrated by Laurence C.S. Tam in Monochrome Ceramics of Ming and Ch’ing Dynasties, Min Chiu Society and The Urban Council, Hong Kong Museum of Art, 1977, col. pl. 110, p. 101.
