The panel is carved to the front with a tall cliff above a river, with pine trees and rockwork to the sides. Two figures and a deer in a raft make their way along the river. At the top of the cliff there is a further deer by a pavilion. The reverse of the panel is carved with a tall pine tree beside bamboo, with the moon in the far distance; 10 in. (25.5 cm.) high, wood stand. Lot 115. Estimate £200,000 - £300,000
Notes: Compare with a white jade rectangular table screen also decorated with a mountainous landscape and figures and of similar quality, which was sold in our Hong Kong rooms, 30 November 2011, lot 3033.
