This gold and pearl pendant most likely housed a major gemstone in its center, although today what remains is a single dangling pearl. There is a cross design right under the bail, and the gold settings feature intricate floral and geometric patterns, all of which was part of a popular European-style design during the late 1500s through the early 1600s.
