The bell-shaped barbed-rim cup is incised to the centre of the interior with a lingzhi and a band of leafy scrolls around the well. The ribbed exterior is decorated with pendent lappets on the base of the cup divided by a raised band at the top of the spreading ribbed foot, covered overall with a soft olive-green glaze. 4 1/2 in. (11.5 cm.) diam., Japanese wood box 

Provenance: A private institution, western Japan, acquired in the 1920s
