Scent-bottle pendant

veined grey agate; mounted in enamelled gold; bottle in form of ewer, with handle, short spout, and agate stopper; scroll-shaped handle with Cupid bust in white enamel; suspended by two chains from a cartouche set with ruby and three pearls. The chains and the 'suspension cartouche' were added in the 19th century. Height: 7.5 centimetres (total) - Height: 4 centimetres (bottle and stopper) - Width: 2.9 centimetres - Diameter: 1.8 centimetres (of foot-rim of scent-bottle) - Weight: 18.02 grammes
