This ewer has a full round body and there is a sense of vigor in the handle and spout. The origin of such ewers is unknown - there are few examples in China and in the Goryeo dynasty of Korea the production is concentrated in the 12th century. On two opposite sides of the body, white slip was applied in a circle, which was incised to make a design of charming floral plants. Underglaze white slip decoration on celadon reached its peak during the 12th-13th centuries. (2019年:MOCO図録)
