The large floral spray set throughout with old brilliant and rose-cut diamonds, the three blooms mounted en tremblant, amongst leaves and buds, diamonds approximately 5.65 carats total, French assay marks, numbered, may be converted to a tiara, a necklace, various pendants, brooches and hair ornaments with the supplied fittings, fitted case by Fontana Fres, Galerie de Valois, 122, 123, 124, Palais Royal, Paris - Sold for £11,000 plus Premium and tax
Note : By 1881 the renowned firm, Fontana, was run by Charles and Giacomo, sons of the original founder. They traded as Fontana Frères and had premises at the Palais Royal. From 1893 they moved to 7 rue de la Paix.
