A large patinated bronze jardinere with mixed metal accents - Meiji Period, Mark of Kiritsu Kosho Kaisha

The ovoid body expertly decorated with a butterfly hovering near sprays of flowering yuri (lily) rendered gold, silver and copper inlay, portions of the design in sunken relief, all supported on a flared foot with a beaded edge band repeated at the wide mouth, the base with the company mark and impressed Kiritsu Kosho Kaisha-sei (wear to gilt). 12in (30.5cm) high - Sold for $22,250 plus Premium and tax
