A large patinated bronze urn with mixed metal accents - Meiji Period, Signed Komin

Thickly cast with a waisted neck and slender ovoid body tapering to an elaborate stepped and waisted pedestal base, decorated to the front with one gold and one silver pheasant amid flowering wisteria vines, the birds realistically rendered in gold and silver with finely incised details, the base signed Dai Nihon Komin-chu (minor wear). 32 3/4in (82.5cm) high - Sold for $14,000 plus Premium and tax
