A Longquan celadon charger and stand - Ming Dynasty
The charger thickly potted, its canted rim flange lightly incised to the biscuit with scroll work and a flowering branch outlined across the floor of its curving well, a lustrous olive-green glaze covering all surfaces except for a cinnamon-burnt firing ring on the recessed base; the tall stand of circular section featuring a foliate rim, pierced waist above six curving trefoil legs with reeded edges descending to the sturdy foot ring and the glaze covering most surfaces of grey-green hue (polished down chip). 15 3/4 and 11in (40 and 28cm) -
