A mottled green jadeite figure of Guanyin on a lotus base

The figure carved emerging from a leaf shaped mandorla and dressed in princely jewelry, a skirt and a deeply undercut shoulder scarf that falls to his side as he stands holding a vase in his right hand hand and raising his left hand, the separately carved and attached waisted lotus plinth finished with a central pearl band; the brightly polished matrix mottled with icy white and pale green patches and displaying some pale russet staining along natural hairline fissures (chipped). 15 1/4in (38.5cm) high - Sold for $4,500 plus Premium and tax
