A large blue and white porcelain covered jar - Transitional Period, 17th Century
Its neck encircled with classic lotus flowers and leaf scrolls and its shoulder with a cloud collar band, all rendered in reserve above a large-scale flowering peony and scrolled leafy stem pattern filling the white ground of its curving walls and repeating on its domical cover (cover repairs, star crack to base).
Overall 23in (58.5cm) high - Sold for $5,500 plus Premium and tax
