A pair of cushion-shaped spinel and diamond earrings

Each cushion-shaped spinel, weighing 8.52 and 7.22 carats respectively, to a geometric frame set with brilliant-cut diamonds, suspended from a diamond surmount and hook, mounted in 18k white gold, earring length 4.0cm. Estimate: HK$240,000 - 280,000, $31,000 - 36,000 - Unsold.

Accompanied by a report from American Gemological Laboratories, stating the two natural spinels are of Burmese (Myanmar) origin and have no evidence of enhancements/treatments present. Report number CS 39929, dated 30th July 2008.
