Convex shape of circular section, flared at the border; enamelled yellow ground with exquisite painting depicting key-fret and four, large, rectangular cartouches decorated with flowering branches and birds, surmounted by small shu symbols and bordered by polychrome kui motifs; white enamelled at the the internal surface with central, floral decoration; pink-grounded hell with lilac flowers. At the base the four-character over-glaze blue seal mark. diameter 15 cm. Estimate 10000.00 | 12000.00 €

Note: An identical model attributed to Qianlong Imperial manufacture, but painted with "camaieu rose" landscapes instead of birds, was sold for 21.470.000 HD, record result at that time, by Sotheby's Hong Kong on April 29 1997.
