A hydrous iron phosphate vivianite was named after J. G. Vivian. Huanuni is the classic location from which the finest vivianites originate. This is, in our opinion, the best matrix vivianite ever seen from this or any other locality. There are over 20 thick bladed, deep bottle green crystals on the specimen and most measure at least 3 inches in length with several double-terminated crystals measuring over 4 inches and other crystals measuring up to 5 inches on a matrix of siderite and a small association of pyrite.
This is an incredibly impressive, fine quality specimen worthy of consideration by the most serious private collector or museum. Measures 8 x 7 x 4 1/2 in. Estimate: US$ 70,000 - 80,000 / £43,000 - 50,000 / €54,000 - 62,000
