Pair of emerald and diamond ear clips, Van Cleef & Arpels, 1959 - Sotheby's

Each of bombé design, the centre set with a step-cut emerald, framed with brilliant-cut diamonds, signed V.C.A. and numbered, French assay and maker's marks, case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels. Estimate: 50,000 - 62,000 CHF 

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 67114, stating that the emerald measuring approximately 9.70 x 9.65 x 4.90mm is of Colombian origin, with minor amounts of oil in fissures, and SSEF report no. 66854, stating that the emerald measuring approximately 9.60 x 9.50 x 5.45mm is of Zambian origin, with moderate amounts of oil in fissures.
