An art deco diamond sautoir necklace, circa 1920

The sautoir designed as an alternating series of oval and circular openwork links, set throughout with single-cut diamonds, suspending a detachable associated pendant composed of two baroque pearl 'fruits' amongst old brilliant and rose-cut diamond foliage, diamonds approximately 19.50 carats total, French assay marks, two diamonds deficient, pearls untested, necklace converts to form four bracelets, pendant probably adapted from a pair of 19th century earrings, necklace length 73.0cm., bracelet length 18.0cm., pendant length 9.0cm. Estimate: £20,000 - 30,000
