A turquoise, pearl and ruby fringe necklace and earring suite, by Carlo Giuliano, circa 1875
Designed as a gold chain wrapped in tubular wirework sections and supporting a series of drops, each set with two collet mounted cabochon sugarloaf turquoise spaced by a circular-cut ruby accent and terminating in a pearl, with a pair of lozenge-shaped pendent earrings en suite, earrings with maker's mark 'CG', necklace length 42.3.0cm., earring length 4.9cm., fitted leather case - Estimate: £22,000 - 28,000
Note: Carlo Giulano (1831-1895), favored jeweler of Queen Victoria.
