Its wide curving well depicting a Daoist immortal riding on a raft toward three celestial beauties in a pavilion rising out of floating clouds and mountain tops painted in rich colors against the glossy black ground, the canted rim featuring reserves of auspicious objects set against a band of blossoming branches and the black ground of the exterior walls relieved by classic lotus flower and leaf scrolls, the recessed base bearing a six-character Ming Chenghua mark in underglaze blue regular script inscribed within a double ring.
