The globular body is encircled by three raised ribs above the spreading stepped foot, and the shoulder is flanked by a pair of fixed-ring lion- mask handles below a herringbone band encircling the neck. The vase is covered in a characteristic semi-transparent glaze of pale blue tone continuing over the dished rim, box.
